CROXLEY GUILD YFC – THE HOME OF LOCAL YOUTH FOOTBALL
When Croxley Guild YFC was formed in 1999 by Simon Evans he could not have envisaged how successful it would become in such a short time. In the last 10 years the Club has grown dramatically from a handful of friends having a kick-about to nearly 300 playing members. Now under the leadership of Chairman Jon Irvine we have teams at every age group, starting at under 6’s nursery teams & rising to under 18’s. The Club has been awarded the prestigious FA Charter Standard and prides itself on the fact that more than 30 managers and coaches hold FA Coaching Certificates. The number grows every year as each new intake of enthusiastic and excited 5 year olds requires more equally enthusiastic and excited Mums or Dads to earn their coaching badge. The Club is indebted to it’s many local sponsors’ and is totally reliant on them & the effort and time the coaches spend developing players by organising training and matches. It would be nice to think that within the Club is the next Stuart Pearce waiting to progress from Sunday morning football to captain of England.
